0 – Zero: None, Emptiness, Void

0 –  ZERO

(NONE, EMPTINESS, VOID)

The Bible does not use zero anywhere. However, it implied to mean emptiness, nothing, or void:

“When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens – there was no field shrub on earth and no grass of the field had sprouted, for the LORD God had sent no rain upon the earth and there was no man to till the ground” (Gen 2:4-5).

The cunning question of the serpent to Eve was, “Did God really say, ‘You shall not eat from any of the trees in the garden’?” (Gen 3:1).

“The king of Sodom said to Abram, ‘Give me the captives; the goods you may keep.’ But Abram replied to the king of Sodom: ‘I have sworn to the LORD, God Most High,* the creator of heaven and earth, that I would not take so much as a thread or a sandal strap from anything that is yours, so that you cannot say, ‘I made Abram rich’” (Gen 14:21-23).

“I am the LORD, there is no other, there is no God besides me” (Isa 45:5).

REFLECTION

God created everything out of nothing. What humans make is out of God’s creation and using the wisdom that God provides. God prohibited worshipping his creation like the sun, moon, and natural forces. Those who rely in themselves alone, without acknowledging God are in spiritual darkness. Let us follow Jesus, the light that guides us to God for eternity in heaven.
