JERUSALEM TEMPLE, “MY FATHER’S HOUSE”
The Temple is the house of God and Jesus, being the Son of God, considered the Temple as the house of his Father. When Joseph and Mary found 12-year-old Jesus in the Temple, he asked, “Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” (Lk 2:49). While cleansing the Temple, he said to those who sold doves, “Take these out of here, and stop making my Father’s house a marketplace” (Jn 2:16).
