Joy of the Word: Believe, Practise, and Teach Homilies Based on Syro-Malabar Liturgical Calendar

The book, Joy of the Word, contains homily resources and gospel interpretations based on the Set 1 and its second volume is based on Set 2 of the liturgical readings of the Syro-Malabar Church.

It is also arranged in the biblical order for the use of others. The book is ideal for priests, preachers, catechism teachers, prayer groups, and others who like to understand Bible passages.

Interpretations are given for each verse, phrase, and word. The book is published by St. Paul Publications, Mumbai, India.

Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church Cardinal Mar George Alencherry inaugurated the book by handing over a copy to Bishop Geevarghese Mar Aprem, Auxiliary bishop of the Archeparchy of Kottayam in the presence of Curia Bishop Sebastian Vaniampurackal on March 10, 2020 at St. Thomas Mount, Kakkanad, Kerala, India.

Archbishop Mar Mathew Moolakkatt released Set 2 of the JOY OF THE WORD  on March 15, 2024 in Chicago by handing over a copy to Vicar General Msgr. Thomas Mulavanal.
